All nutritional data is saved to Apple Health (HealthKit) and is subject to Apple's privacy and security measures. This data is synchronized across your Apple devices via iCloud using end-to-end encryption.

AI Processing

When you input food descriptions, the text is sent to OpenAI's GPT-3.5 API for calorie estimation. OpenAI's data usage is governed by their Privacy Policy and API Data Usage Policies. According to OpenAI's policies, API data is not used to train their models.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data with:

• OpenAI: Food descriptions are sent to OpenAI's API for calorie estimation. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.
• Apple HealthKit: Nutritional data is saved to your personal Apple Health database with your explicit permission.

• HealthKit Data: You can delete health data directly in the Apple Health app

Right to Access

All your data stored in CalorifAI is accessible directly through the app interface. For HealthKit data, use the Apple Health app on your iPhone.

CalorifAI is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

Data Retention

• Daily Entries: Stored locally on your device until you delete the app
